An exhibition of photography
by Anthony Jones is being held at the Victoria & Albert Museum
until 17th August.
The photographs in this show
are amongst his favourite and are about the mystery, drama and
graphic potential of architecture - mainly of the city of London.
The photograph of Battersea Power Station above is from the
exhibition.
The use of blurred figures
is something that excites him and adds scale and depth to his
work. Anthony feels an empathy with the work of Eugene Atget,
Harry Callahan, Paul Strand and Michael Kenna.
Exhibition Thursday 19th July
- Friday 17th August 2001
